Work Experience Placement - January 2019

Towards the back end of last year, SEP received a cover letter and CV from a local, young lady called Erin, who had recently finished her studies at Peter Symonds College in Winchester and was enquiring about possible job vacancies within SEP.

Erin’s cover letter explained that she felt in a ‘catch 22’ situation of wanting a role but not having any experience to secure this.

Although SEP were unable to accommodate a permanent role for Erin, we felt for her predicament and therefore offered the opportunity of a two week work experience placement in January to provide an insight into what we do as a business and the manufacturing industry as a whole.

Erin was particularly interested in the different industries that engineering/manufacturing can service and during the two weeks, spent time working with the various production departments as well as the Sales and Accounts teams.

We hope Erin enjoyed her placement with us and we wish her the very best of luck in the future.
